The last issue of the Silver Morgan Dollar at the United States Mint came in 1921. Silver Morgan Dollars were issued from 1878 to 1904 on an annual basis, but halted after 1904 as the Congressional mandate for silver purchasing that supported production had been met. No new silver dollars were struck throughout the remainder of the 1900s and 1910s. In 1918, new legislation was passed to support a resumption in coining and the first new silver dollars were released in 1921. Now, 1921 Silver Morgan Dollars are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com in certified condition.

The Silver Morgan Dollars were introduced in 1878 after a five-year hiatus in silver dollar coining. The end of silver dollar coining in 1873 meant the end of the Seated Liberty design series, the longest-running design in US silver dollar history. In 1878, the Silver Morgan debuted and would go on to become the second-longest-running design in US silver dollar history.

In 1921, silver dollar coining resumed after the Morgan Dollar was halted following the 1904 release. The 1921 release marked the return of the Silver Morgan Dollar, but for just one year as it was replaced in December by the Silver Peace Dollar design. The 1921 Silver Morgan may have been the last issue, but it was far from rare. In total, the US Mint issued 86.73 million Morgan Dollars combined at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mint facilities.

The obverse side of 1921 Silver Morgan Dollar Coins comes with an effigy of Lady Liberty. This design was created by George T. Morgan and shows Liberty’s left-profile bust with a Phrygian cap on her head, as well as a coronet crown and laurel wreath.

On the reverse face of the 1921 Silver Morgan Dollars is a vision of the heraldic eagle of the United States. The heraldic eagle is the oldest American coin design still in use. This 1878 version from George T. Morgan features the bald eagle in front-facing relief with the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons. There is no US national shield on the eagle’s chest.

These 1921 Silver Morgan Dollars are available with a Mint State 64 grade. Coins in this condition showcase average mint luster and come with possible flaws such as small clusters of contact marks, one or two heavier marks, and small patches of hairlines.

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
