The United States Mint issued the Silver Morgan Dollars from 1878 to 1904, and again in 1921, making it the second-longest design in use on American silver dollars and the last one with wide circulation. Though the Silver Peace Dollar was the last circulation US dollar, its mintage numbers were nowhere near the more than 570 million Silver Morgan Dollars issued over the course of four decades in production. Today, Silver Morgan Dollars with certification are available to you online at Silver.com.

Among US silver dollar coins, the Seated Liberty design was the longest-running and was in production by the US Mint from 1836 to 1873, covering a total of five different decades and boasting 38 years of continuous production. The Morgan Dollar was the second-longest design in use with its production consisting of these original 1878-1904 dates, and an additional 1921 date. Like the Seated Liberty design, the Morgan was available across five different decades and was the only coin with a significant break in its production cycle.
All of these Silver Morgan Dollars come to you with certification from either the PCGS or NGC. Coins in Mint State 64 condition have at least an average mint luster remaining. The possible detracting flaws include only groups of small contact marks, one or two moderate-to-heavy marks, and one or two patches of small hairlines. At Silver.com, we guarantee you will receive a Silver Morgan Dollar with the MS64 certification.
As a varied listing, we cannot guarantee the date mark on the coin you receive nor the specific grading house label. Your coin could come with a date mark of 1878 to 1904 and a label from either the PCGS or NGC. We select all coins after payment has been processed. If you buy several, please keep in mind you could get coins with the same date marks and the same grading house label.
Lady Liberty features on the obverse of the Silver Morgan Dollar in a design created by George T. Morgan. This left-profile portrait features Liberty with a cap on her head holding in some of her hair, while some curled locks flow freely at the back of her head. She also wears a wreath crown and a coronet with an inscription of “Liberty.”
The heraldic eagle of the United States features on the reverse of Silver Morgan Dollars. Mr. Morgan also created this design in 1878 for the series. It depicts an American bald eagle in front-facing relief as it looks to the left and clutches the arrows of war with an olive branch of peace in its talons.
